It’s alive… Alive!!
Dark and Dirty was officially released upon the world this morning, and I could not be happier to be a part of this fantastic collection of dark erotic tales. When I was asked to be a part of it, I was over the moon. To finally see it come to life…beyond my expectations. *tosses confetti*
Here are all the juicy details I have on Dark and Dirty.
Introduction by USA Today bestselling author Jenika Snow.
Four dangerously dark and delicious stories that will awaken your dirtiest fantasies.
NOT ONE NIGHT by D.C. Stone:
One night of pleasure isn’t worth losing a lifetime of friendship. Or a reputation. Or a career. A spot in the social standing. That irritating innocence. Or the always-so-present pride.
…But it is worth losing her heart.
REDEEMER by Kastil Eavenshade:
His family has the wealth and power to give him anything … except approval.
Gianni Bencivenni marks his time in lines of cocaine. One lover is the same as the next within the walls of addiction—until his family puts a contract out on his life. On the run with the last man he wants to be in close quarters with, Gianni has to decide whether his yearning for acceptance and love can overpower his need for a drug-filled haze.
Johnny “Butcher” Mascagni marks the black sins he commits. Death is his profession and ghosts of the dead haunt his waking moments. His penance for the dark life he’s led. Through all the men who have shared his bed, love is a promise that eludes him. When a former lover becomes his last assignment, Butcher must decide if he can set his demons free and open his heart again.
SLICK by Lea Bronsen:
Ex-convict Luke has been fortunate enough to land a small job as a kitchen assistant, but he’s lonely and crippled by baggage from the past.
CEO Roman Spencer also has his share of problems. It doesn’t help that a tough and hot-headed kitchen worker begins to plague his mind…and body.
The more Luke runs into Roman, the more his dark fantasy turns into attraction. If he surrenders, his thug pride will effectively go down the drain.
ADDICTIONS by R. Brennan:
Alexis Harrison is a mess. She’s managed to blow out her knee, lose her scholarship, and get hooked on pain killers. Now she’s playing mule to her dealer, who is her only friend, to support her ever increasing habit.
If something doesn’t change soon, her addiction is going to cost Lexi more than just everything.

#Review: Susceptible to Him by Lynn Burke: A Stellar 5 Star Debut! #Romance #Contemporary #RotG @EvernightPublishing
Description: Lia Risso walked in on her fiancé and three other women on Valentine’s Day. Two celibate years later, her roommate creates a profile for Lia on a dating website—without her knowledge—and sets up a date. On Valentine’s Day.
Ryan Walsh, a self-made millionaire and libertine, refuses to commit to any one woman. Tossed from foster home to foster home as a child, Ryan is on guard against becoming vulnerable ever again.
One dinner…one night of dancing and flirting with the attraction between them, puts both Lia and Ryan in danger of heart break.
They have a choice—open themselves to the possibility of hurt or walk away, never knowing what might have been.
My Review: A STELLAR 5 STAR DEBUT!!
Lia and Ryan… *sigh*
Let me start by saying I really enjoyed this RotG debut from Lynn Burke. Excellent descriptions, stellar story, and I am now anxious for more of the Risso family.
Lia Risso catches her boyfriend in a threesome, shaking her to the core. Her well meaning friend, in an effort to get Lia “back out there” signs her up for on a dating site. This is where Ryan comes in. He, of course, is the date she plans to politely enjoy before sending the gentleman on his way. Ryan is everything I like in a guy, charming, very boy next door…just what Lia needs.
Even when she doesn’t realize it.
I don’t do spoilers in my reviews, so I will leave the rest to you to find out. I devoured this one in an hour, and loved every distracted second of it. Just perfect for waiting in the doc’s office waiting room. Ms. Burke’s style is sensual and romantic without the high raunchy heat. Classy. Lovely and engrossing.
I highly recommend you get in on this series now, as I hear there is some HOTness to come from the rest of the Risso clan.

I’ve been tagged in a fun little blog event we’ve affectionately called the “Writing Process Blog Thingie”. 😛
Basically, I’ve been tagged by the wonderful Elyzabeth M. VaLey in a post on her blog last week, and this week, it’s time to pay the piper and share a little bit about my own writing process.
Here goes 🙂
1) What am I working on?
Anyone who knows me kn0ws I am working on far too many stories than I should. Right now, I am working on the next story in my Roses and Thorns BDSM series, plus I have a naughty fairy tale in the works I would like to submit before summer is in full swing. On the mainstream author side (Rebecca Hart), I’ve got an antho release in March and I’d like to get the first novel in her fantasy series finished off and out for consideration.
2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I’d like to think my writing brings the elements of strong prose and vivid description together with believable, likable characters and a story you can’t get out of your head. My erotic writing I think lends beauty to the oft misunderstood world of BDSM and the amazingly romantic elements inherent in the lifestyle. You’d have to tell me if I’ve accomplished that with my stories. 🙂
3) Why do I write what I do?
With respect to BDSM romance, I write it because of what I mentioned above — the idea that the lifestyle is somehow dirty or taboo in some way. I hope to really highlight the romantic beauty and profound love that can be obtained in a strong BDSM relationship.
See you next time.
Woohoo! go Annabelle!!
For a good friend of mine, the day all writers love– release day–has come.
*cue fanfare and confetti*
A big fat congratulations to Annabelle Blume for her latest release, OLD FLAME–a New Adult Contemporary Romance with Roane Publishing.
As part of the release day festivities, I have wrangled Ms. Blume into stopping by the blog for a visit. (Go me.)
In her novella, the main character, Hannah, has a bit of an unhealthy obsession with her ex, James — so I thought it would be fun to pick the authors brain a bit about that aspect of Hannah’s personality.
Here’s what she had to say:
I was in college before the advent of social media. The internet had just started to take hold in mainstream American life. I was actually annoyed freshman year because professor demanded we sign up and use our free university-hosted email accounts to contact him. I’m…

Hello again readers, and thanks, as always, for stopping in to the blog today.
As part of the ongoing Winter’s Sweet Kiss blog tour, I have managed to score a short interview with each of the participating authors. I asked each of them one question… a good one, of course.
Tell us about your first kiss.
Here’s what they had to say 🙂
Hmm – will my husband be reading this? Let’s put it this way. It wasn’t good. It was awkward, he bit me, and I was left trying to figure out if I’d been kissed or mauled.
Well, this is embarrassing 😉 My first kiss was like first kisses usually are. Quick, awkward and bewildering, because neither of us quite knew what we were doing. I still felt so wonderful after, and roamed around in a proud daze the whole day!
