Cover Reveal: Love’s Revenge by Terri Rochenski (@TerriRochenski) #HistoricalRomance #MeansofMercy #CoverLove
Happy Monday, boys and girls. Welcome. Hello. Pull up a beanbag chair or cop a squat. I’ve got a new cover to share with you! If you know me, you know how happy that prospect makes me. I just love covers. I know you aren’t supposed to judge, but, oh… do I judge. I would guess about 80% of my book purchased are influenced in some fashion by the cover. Truth. I freely admit it.
Well, this one I just ADORE. Really.
The cover I have today is for Terri Rochenski’s latest historical romance, LOVE’S REVENGE. If you read the first novel in the series, LOVE’s SORROW, then you’re anxiously awaiting the release of this one right along with me. I had such a book hangover when I finished SORROW … just a bit longer to know what happens next!!
Here’s the cover and the story blurb for LOVE’S REVENGE, Means of Mercy Book Two.
Description: Embittered by betrayal, Anne MacKay flees London for America, where she learns she’s pregnant with her abusive husband’s longed-for heir. In a society that doesn’t protect, or afford a well-to-do wife’s desire for divorce, Anne decides there is one way to exact revenge: deny the father any knowledge of his child.
Sought after by her husband’s henchmen, Anne travels by rail and horseback, far from civilization where silk and stays are worn, let alone thought of. Lies and deceit protect her identity for a time, allowing her to birth—and grow to love—the child who was supposed to be her vengeance.
With the help of her loyal and protective business partner, Jude Connagher, and the ranch hands in their Montana Territory valley, Anne attempts to rebuild her life under the shadow of her husband’s wrath.
One unwise decision lands Anne in her pursuers’ clutches, tearing her from the ranch, her child, and her growing love for the one man who could redeem her from bitterness. She’s left with no choice but to finally face her husband, knowing her freedom and life hang in the balance.

About the Author:
Terri started writing stories in the eighth grade when a little gnome whispered in her brain. Gundi’s Great Adventure never hit the best seller list, but it started a long love affair with storytelling.
Today she enjoys an escape to Middle Earth during the rare ‘me’ moments her three young children allow. When not potty training or kissing boo-boos, she can be found sprawled on the couch with a book or pencil in hand, and toothpicks propping her eyelids open.
Welcome to my little corner of the blogging universe for another weekly installment of SEXY SNIPPETS, where we share seven steamy sentences from a published work or WIP.
Since there are just eleven more days until my first solo release with Evernight Publishing, A LEAP OF FAITH, I thought I would share just a little bit more of Faith and Richard with you. Don’t forget to look for it on May 15th and check back here over the coming week. I just may have some nifty giveaways to celebrate release day.
But for now, here is a Sunday tease from my Romance on the Go title, A LEAP OF FAITH. (Mature audiences only, please)
“What did you say?”
She released a cry of dismay at his abrupt abandonment of her pleasure center. “Oh, God, no. Don’t stop. Please.” She tossed her head back against the pillows.
“Did you need something, pet?”
Her fingers dug into his shoulders, her leg muscles tense. “I asked for permission to come, Sir.”
Yup. I like that one. How about you? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section. Love hearing from you all. 🙂

Welcome back to the Book Nook. Always happy to have you stop by. 🙂
I am working on posting more regular content to the blog, and it’s been tough to balance writing and blogging. So I decided I needed to ‘share the stage’ a bit more and reach out to other authors. Feature their wonderful works and stories more often — not just their covers and an occasional review. Heck, I was an avid reader first.
Anyway, as part of my effort to branch out more, I have started a new feature I like to call New Release News, and today I have an Evernight Publishing release to share with you all — The Good Sister (Part Two) by London Saint James.
Because there is nobody better to tell you about their “baby” than the author, here’s London to tell you all a little bit about her and her second steamy installment.
Thanks so much for having me today to talk about my newest release, The Good Sister (Part Two). Inspiration to write, for me anyway, comes from so many different things. A place, a picture, a song, a poem, and even quotes. The idea for The Good Sister came from a quote, and blossomed into a two book series. Here’s the quote that started it all:
We always long for the forbidden things, and desire what is denied us.
by London Saint James
Release Date: Nov. 1, 2012
Publisher: Evernight Publishing
Genre: Erotic Romance
Trinity Lane Winslow stepped out of her fantasy world and into the real one on a quest to obtain the object of her desire—Reid Addison. The pursuit led her to the infamous Madam Jacqueline Claudette Rousseau, the man she craved, and the debonair Lord Archer, the man who offered what she really longed for—love.
When Reid revealed his dark side, he knew he’d sealed his fate and pushed Trinity into the waiting arms of Lord Archer. Can he live with his decision?
Lord Archer would do anything for his beautiful Trinity, but is he strong enough to hold onto her with all that conspire against them?
Note: The Good Sister 2 is the completion of a two-book, erotic contemporary series. Best if read in order. The Good Sister 2 contains anal sex, abduction and attempted rape of the heroine by a secondary character.
The Good Sister Part Two Excerpt:
The ride back to the chateau was brief, only because I curled up on Ashton and fell asleep. I was surprised when he woke me with the news we had arrived, nonetheless happy to feel his lips pressed firmly upon mine. When the kiss became a little more heated, and I sucked his tongue into my mouth, our exit from the car waited.
“Ashton, we should get out of the car because if we continue I may do naughty things.”
Ashton guffawed. “Yes, I am in agreement, my dove. And by the by, you need to button your shirt.”
“And you need to zip your pants.”
Clothes straightened, breath regained, and thoughts cleared, we left the confines of the car. When we walked through the door of the chateau, everyone came to meet us. That in itself wasn’t unusual, but what was unusual was the fact everyone seemed to be on edge.
“Welcome back, my petit,” Jacqueline greeted, giving me a peck on the cheek.
“What’s going on?” I asked. “Why is everyone looking like someone died?”
“Reid is here,” Breeze confessed in a rush, blurting out the words. “He’s been on a rant.”
As if a tornado called forth on cue, Reid stormed into the foyer.
“Fuck!” he exclaimed, glaring at me. “Do you know how worried I have been about you? I knew Archer was coming, but you never said anything about leaving with him.”
“Reid,” Alec, Jacqueline’s muscle and right hand man, said in his warning voice. “You will calm your voice and control your anger while speaking with Trinity, or I will throw you out.”
Ashton stepped in front of me.
“Reid,” he said, and to my surprise he was using a polite tone. “I understand how you might worry for Trinity. However, I can assure you, I would never allow any harm to befall her.”
Reid’s eyes flickered fury.
“Archer.” Reid’s voice sounded as though acid was on his tongue. “I really could care less what you have to say.”
“Stop it!” I said. I huffed around Ashton, feet planted firmly. “Reid, you have no claim over me nor do you have any say in who I spend my time with or where I go.”
Reid glared at me for a moment then the glare changed to anger apparent as his features turned to stone. His silver eyes narrowed. Ashton held on to my waist, as if he were ready to snatch me back and pummel Reid if necessary.
“Trinity,” Reid said through clenched jaw. “Do you want to tell me something?”
“No,” I said, lifting the set of my chin.
“So you don’t want to tell me why you are wearing a fucking rock on your hand?”
Immediately, everyone seemed to stare at my hand.
“Well…” Ashton smiled. “We were going to make a formal announcement, but since Addison is set on making a scene,” Ashton said, taking hold of my hand. “I have asked Trinity to marry me, and she has accepted my proposal.”
A cacophony of noise followed. Gleeful laughter from all my sisters could be heard. Sincere congratulations from Alec. A hitching breath from Jacqueline, and a quite loud, “Fucking hell, you have got to be pulling my dick!” from Reid.
“Reid, I swear. You may be my friend, but I want to punch you in the face!”
“Trinity,” Reid muttered, looking almost befuddled. “Fucking shit!” he yelled.
He balled up his fist before he threw up his hands. Reid turned and stormed past everyone, cussing all the way out the front door before he slammed it with a thundering shake.
Ashton smiled his wicked smile, gazing at me. “That went rather well,” he said with a tone of not quite joking.
I love to hear from my readers.

What a fantastic ride!
Lila Gray is snarky, sarcastic and ballsy. A winning combination for any leading lady to my thinking. A lover of both fairy tales and fantasy, The Glass Man delivered in spades. Ms. Adams gives us a wonderfully detailed glimpse into her dystopian world while still holding true to the established lore surrounding the fae and their societal structures.
Lila’s “hunter” and nemesis, Parthalan is sexy, dark and devious. *licks lips* I guy you really hate to love. While his pain loving sidekick, Rourke is the perfect blend of powerful foe and twisted lunatic. I think he just might be my favorite character in the novel, aside from Lila, of course.
Toss in Lila’s love interest, Liam–a brooding farmer with a secret–and let the sparks fly.
I try not to toss in story details when I write my reviews to avoid spoiling anything for the readers. You will just have to get this one for yourself to see how it all comes together. Suffice to say, I loved this novel and highy recommend it for anyone. It is a must read for any lover of fantasy or romance.
About the only negative I could mention was the fact that it came to an end. If I didn’t know there were at least two more Lila Gray novels to come from Jocelyn Adams, I might just be upset about that.
