I’ve got a new cover to share with you all from the next Roane Publishing release, THINGS MYSTERIOUS by Matthew Chabin. This is another of my own cover designs and as I mentioned to someone the other day, I am getting better at them as time goes on. Practice makes perfect and all that. But, rather than toot my horn, why don’t I just share it with you all, eh?
Here it is…
by Matthew Chabin
Publisher: Roane Publishing
Release Date:June 22, 2015
Keywords: Romance, Mystery, Paranormal, Mortality, Literary
Description:Dasan Garret is a disappointed man. Recently divorced and just returned from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq, he moves back to his hometown of Portland, Oregon only to find himself unexpectedly alone. His old friends are all gone, moved away, locked up, or dead. Women seem to occupy a parallel universe. With no community and few prospects, he takes a job as a night watchman and withdraws ever deeper into the shadows of his mind.
Until one day when he meets Edenia, and she lights up his world like a bolt of pure energy. She seems perfect: vibrant, gifted, kind, sexy, a sudden and unlooked-for reprieve from the sad ruin of his life. And yet there remains a nagging sense that something isn’t right. Could it be that he is merely slow to trust the happiness she offers him? Or is there something behind that waver in her laugh, that fleeting look of sadness in her eyes?
The mystery deepens when one day Edenia disappears. Dasan believes he must find her in order to go on living. But to find her again, he will have to confront a devastating truth about her life, and his.

Had to Reblog this one. LOVE THIS SERIES!! And the cover totally appeals to the “cover whore” in me. 🙂
By this point in our blogger to reader relationship, you all are well aware of my “Cover Whore” status. I love covers and this one is for one of my favorite series, and coincidentally one I recommended highly to attendees and Albacon 2012, where I was a panelist the weekend before I wrote this post (10/22) .
Top that, right?
Well, I shall. So, pffft.
I also happen to consider the author a friend, and I am so proud to be a part of her BIG day. Congrats, Ms. Adams ;P

The Book Nook has another fantastic cover reveal for you today. This one come is the debut novel for YA author, Emi Gayle.
Back of the Book
What eighteen year old Mac Thorne doesn’t know will probably kill her.
In exactly eight months, five days, three hours and thirteen minutes, Mac has to choose what she’ll be for the rest of her life.
She has no choice but to pick. As a Changeling, it’s her birthright. To Mac, it’s a birthchore. Like going to school with humans, interacting with humans, and pretending to be human during the pesky daylight hours.
Once darkness descends, Mac can change into any supernatural form that exists — which makes her as happy as she can be. That is, until Winn Thomas, the biggest geek in her senior class figures out there’s more to what hides in the dark than most are willing to acknowledge.
In this first of the 19th Year Trilogy, Winn might know more about Mac than even she does, and that knowledge could end their lives, unless Mac ensures the powers-that-be have no choice but to keep him around.
Previous books in this series: None. This is the first of three.
My Thoughts: I like the tone here, love the darkness of it. I am a sucker for that cross–it draws me quite nicely. It leads me to believe the story is about vampires, though, if I were just to use the cover as my basis (yes, I know you can’t judge a book by it :P). Maybe the artist is using that for impulse sales or something (since sparklie vamps are all the rage), but the description mentions changelings, so I think we are safe. I’m definitely curious enough to want to read it, and that is the point, after all.
Bex Cover Rating: 4 of 5 stars.
What do you think?
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Instead of a Six Sentence Sunday post today, I thought I would treat you all to another cover reveal. I have become quite addicted to these posts. The covers are usually so amazing. So without further ado, here is today’s cover, brought to us by Annabelle Blume’s new Sci-fi romance, FROZEN HEART (Inkspell Publishing, 2012)
Title: Frozen Heart
Author: Annabelle Blume
Genre: SciFi Romance
Back of the Book: A decade surviving on her own. Three days with the enemy. Can love conquer all?
Cressenda knows how to survive. With her sled dogs as her only companions, she’s spent the past ten years hiding in the snow covered wilderness from the oppressive regime of the Affinity. When a routine trip to civilization takes a turn for the worst, Cressenda is forced to take refuge with the enemy or lose her life to the frozen countryside.
But Beckett, a Guard of the Affinity, is more than a man in uniform. His desperate need to help Cressenda escape both- the blizzard and the Affinity- makes her feelings for him all the more troubling. Will Beckett be true to his word and set Cressenda free? Will her heart let her leave after all they’ve shared?
Annabelle is a Science Fiction and Urban Fantasy Romance author. That is, when she’s not checking homework or begrudgingly cooking dinner. Her dogs bark too much and her husband thinks there are too many dogs shoved into their tiny house out in California, but she believes their life is awesome if only because they live so close to Disneyland – which she loves with the tenacity of a nine-tentacled octopus.
She’s also the author/personality of The Bombshell Mommy at Vitacost.com, where she expounds her knowledge of being a vixen clad in sweatpants.
Other Participating Blogs:
Welcome everyone, and thanks so much for coming by to check out today’s fantastic cover reveal.
We have a load of them for you this month (4 or 5, I believe) and I think we are really starting it off with a bang, as this one is for HOLLYWOOD EVER AFTER, the contemporary romance by fellow Inkspell Publishing author, Sasha Summers.
Inkspell’s designer has a magical gift for creating amazing covers, and this one is no exception.
She wasn’t meant for movie stars, Hollywood, or happy endings. And then she met him.
Author: Sasha Summers
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Inkspell Publishing
Back of the Book:
Happy Endings are for fairy tales. Or the movies. Not for real life.
At least, not Claire’s life.
Even though she’s starting over, she knows better than to want too much this time. But when she falls, literally, into the strong arms of Hollywood’s ‘it’ boy Josh Wiley, Claire’s in for some surprises. Her plans for rest and relaxation are forgotten as one incredible night with Josh becomes two… And her heart begins to want him as much as her body.
Will two kids, one bastard ex-husband, and Josh’s juggernaut career mean the end of their affair? Or can Claire find her happy ending after all?
Well, what do you think about it? I love it myself. It draws the eye nicely with the flowers, and the photographer in the background really lends to a movie star paparazzi sort of feel.
The Book also has a trailer you can take a look at on YouTube — Hollywood Ever After Book Trailer

But, this post isn’t about my predictions. You all came to see the new cover, right?
So, without further ado, I give you the fantastic cover for Jocelyn Adams’ soon to be released novel, Shadowborn.

Back of the Book
That’s the question Lila Gray asks every time yet another bad guy tries to destroy the earth, and she learns she’s the only one who can stop it. Once again, something’s on the prowl, leaving hundreds of comatose, souless victims in its wake.
Couldn’t the deadliest assassins of the Otherworld go after someone else instead of the brand new Queen of the Seelie? One who still hasn’t adapted to her new role.
Lila would ask Liam Kane, King of the Unseelie, for advice, but something’s off with him, too. He’s holding back. In some way. About some thing. In fact, he refuses to tell her what’s going on.
The truth holds Lila back from the greatness of her role—the people she was born to lead—the man who she desperately loves—and the solution to the latest war raging around her.
To find the answers, she’ll need to fight through her own darkness and embark on a journey through her psyche.
If she doesn’t succeed, the Shadowborn will claim not only her world, but her soul.

Today’s reveal features the cover for the YA Paranormal Romance, CRUX by Julie Reece. Ms. Reece is also an author with J. In that singular moment, unassuming Birdie becomes the girl in everyone’s viewfinder. Thugs want to kill her. Money-guy wants to recruit her. The very hot, very rich and very out of her league, Grey Mathews, wants to save her.
Birdie, though, wants nothing to do with any of them, until she realizes fate didn’t bring them all together.

I’ve managed to fenagle another cover reveal for all you lovely readers out there. This one is for J.C. Martin’s debut novel, a thriller titled, ORACLE (published by J.Taylor Publishing). I am not sure who does the cover art for J. Taylor, but I have yet to see one come out of that publishing house that wasn’t knockout gorgeous and eye catching. This one is no exception.
From the Back Cover:
As the countdown begins, the body count rises.
With London gearing up to host the Olympics, the city doesn’t need a serial killer stalking the streets, but they’ve got one anyway.
Leaving a trail of brutal and bizarre murders, the police force is no closer to finding the latest psychopath than Detective Inspector Kurt Lancer is in finding a solution for his daughter’s disability.
Thrust into the pressure cooker of a high profile case, the struggling single parent is wound tight as he tries to balance care of his own family with the safety of a growing population of potential victims.
One of whom could be his own daughter.
Fingers point in every direction as the public relations nightmare grows, and Lancer’s only answer comes in the form of a single oak leaf left at each crime scene.

You know your review site is starting to grow when you get the opportunity to participate in your first cover reveal. Rather than talk your ears off with this one, I will let the fantastic cover for J.A. Belfield’s new Paranormal Romance, ETERNAL speak for itself.
ETERNAL by J.A. Belfield
An unmarried woman living in a house of men breeds hearsay and lore. If only the villagers knew the truth.
It’s not Jem Stonehouse’s marital status that brings unwanted strangers to town. Rather, it’s that she is the only female werewolf in existence — a prize to any pack.
Sean Holloway, the love of Jem’s life, has gone to great lengths to protect her. As a new attack becomes imminent, Sean realizes he must take greater measures with Jem’s safety or risk losing her forever.
His first task must be to marry her, but a force greater than the largest werewolf stands in his way.
