Anyway, the idea behind this particular feature is to post 7 paragraphs, sentences or words from a WIP or published work. This week I’ve decided to feature seven paragraphs from a published work — my erotic horror novella, BLOOD AND FIRE.
Here is my teaser for this week:
Rock music filled my ears as we stepped into the large, open space. The scent of sex and leather permeated the air. Massive crystal chandeliers hung from the twenty-foot ceiling. The tiny prisms caught strobe lights stationed throughout the room cast redacted rainbows onto the walls. A giant circular fountain presented a well-endowed statue of a male angel–like the ones at the front walk–dominated the center of the gymnasium sized room. The winged man stood with his arms and face lifted to the sky. A steady stream of water arched from his insanely large manhood into the shimmering pool.
The entire space swam with humanity. One mass gyrated on the lighted floor at the base of two ten foot speakers. The dancers, in every conceivable manner of fetish gear–some naked like me–writhed and ground against one another. A man crawled past on his mistresses leash sporting a studded collar and a headpiece of floppy dog ears. A butt plug with an attached tail wagged to and fro.
Kevin moved further into the crowd. The short leash set my brisk pace as I followed behind. We passed a live incarnation of the Monopoly man, complete with top hat and monocle, but instead of a suit, he wore an adult diaper. I sucked in a breath, yanking my open-mouthed gaze from the black hat bobbing through the crowd, as leather brushed across my nipples.
The scruffy, round man I bumped into flashed a grin and grabbed a handful of my ass.
With a shiver of revulsion, I gulped and scurried to keep up with Kevin.
Fetish stations lined the walls. A small group surrounded a naked man strapped to a spanking bench, where a woman in a vinyl cat suit worked his ass with a large glass dildo. Naked cocktail servers, male and female, carried drink-laden trays high over their heads. At the far end of the room marble steps rose to a red-carpeted dais with a St Andrew’s cross at its center. The spotlight at its base cast an eerie shadow on the overlooking stained glass windows. As I trailed behind Kevin, the cross drew my eyes. I wondered what it would be like to be strapped to it, have everyone’s eyes on me as a flogger kissed my back and burned welts down my ass and thighs. My heel caught in a tile crack, and I stumbled sideways–the jerk on my throat returned my attention to the present.
Kevin glanced back. “Stay with me, kitten.” He seemed to have a specific location in mind as he weaved his way through the maze of flesh and leather. He came to a halt at a collection of couches at the right of the carpeted dais.

Welcome back for another week if Sexy Snippets, where we post seven steamy sentences from a WIP or published work. With vacation last week, I didn’t get a chance to visit with the other participants last week, and I really missed my weekly dose of teasers. Not this Sunday. Yay me 🙂
For my posting this week, I’ve decided to dip back into Blood and Fire, and bring you all a little taste of the dark, sexy and extremely dominant, Bartholomew Andrews to you all. Here is seven sentences from BLOOD AND FIRE featuring Master Bartholomew, or as Frankie has aptly nicknamed him, “Master Amazing”. The desperate swing of my gaze froze when it caught on the nearby dais.
Beside the St Andrew’s Cross, at the top of the marble stairs, stood the most perfect man I’d ever seen. Hooded by thick lashes any woman would envy, eyes the color of a summer sky scanned the crowded room from beneath a wild mop of jet black curls.
My gaze slid down his smooth chiseled chest, over a washboard stomach, and focused on the silver belt buckle topping his black trousers. It shimmered beneath the flashing strobes, drawing my attention while hiding what I hungered to see most. My eyes swept back to his glorious face, eager to devour more of his dark beauty.
I met with Master Amazing’s penetrating stare.
A gasp tore from my throat.
Mmm…mmm.mmmmmm Tasty vittles, I tell ya.

Welcome to the first post of what I am hoping will turn into a weekly feature here at the Book Nook. Each Wednesday, I will be posting a wicked excerpt from a released or soon to be released story/novella/novel. They won’t all be my stories, as I am hoping to wrangle some other erotic authors to participate in the coming weeks.
Just a little something to get you through the Hump Day with a smile on your face.
Today’s Wicked Excerpt comes from my most recent erotic release, Blood and Fire.
He moved his hand to the other knob and gave it a twist, until both of my breasts ached in time with the whims of the device in his hand. I groaned in anguished pleasure. My center begged for penetration, evidenced by the juices that made the long trek down my legs, finally reaching my ankles. My hands balled to fists. “Please…Master.”
Bartholomew crouched before me and set the box on the floor between my spread legs.
My eyes followed his movements, watched the flex of his broad, muscled shoulders. His dark head leaned forward, inhaled the scent of my desire in a long sniff. As his fingers spread my soaking folds, tremors shuddered through me. Lifting his eyes to mine, he ran a finger over my swollen nub. Prickles of fire spiraled outward from my pussy, and a cry of pleasure ripped from my throat.
His hand dropped away. Bartholomew rose, towering over me again. The power of his presence rendered me drunk. “Not yet, slave. I won’t take you under false pretenses. Even the Fallen have honor.”
The Fallen? My head came forward until my eyes met his. I tried to find the part of my brain that processed speech. The electric pulses shuddering into my nipples continued to distract me. “What?” The word came out as barely a whisper.
A typhoon of sapphire waves churned in his eyes as the electrodes tore away from my breasts with a jolt. My muscles tensed. The air caught in my lungs.
“It’s time to lift the veil, Francesca.”
The dark tone of his words stabbed into my soul. What veil? I’m naked.
Bartholomew crushed my mouth with his, scattering all productive thought.
My fear disintegrated beneath the onslaught of his lips, and the taste of his tongue as it branded mine. Heat, sparked by his mouth, slid downward, like I’d swallowed a glowing ember. The spark settled in my stomach, and caught flame, spreading through me like a windblown brushfire.

Okay folks…I am going to be honest with you here. I have NO CLUE why when I was working on my blog I came across the post below as a “DRAFT”. I really thought I had posted this a long time ago. Maybe I did and this will be a repost. *shrugs* Who knows.
Anyway, here is a review I did for a fantastic YA horror novella I read written by an author I consider a friend, aside from thinking she is beyond talented. *gush gush* 😛
The Trouble With Nightingale by Amaleen Ison

What a wonderful short story!
I gave this one a read yesterday while on the train to NYC for work and I just LOVED it. It had been on my Nook waiting for me to find some time to read it for months and I am so glad I finally got the chance. The characters were vibrant and realistic, even in the context of a paranormal type tale. A completely unique twist on the dart arts and witchcraft.
Ms Ison has a gift for descriptive tales or the supernatural, and The Trouble with Nightingale is no different. I fell in love with the characters, most especially Fabian. Just too cute for words. I don’t put spoilers in my reviews, so I won’t get into too much detail on him, but I bet if you give it a read, you will agree with me.
I highly recommend this for anyone interested in paranormal tales appropriate to a YA audience and those who enjoy reading stories about the occult or witchcraft.

I am so excited to announce that MuseItUp Publishing has accepted my erotic horror short, BLOOD AND FIRE, and will be publishing it as a stand alone eBook.
The story is set for release in December 2012 — which is perfect timing, as my short story, Routine Maintenance will also debut in December as part of the Felt Tips Charity Anthology. The idea of having two stories out at the same time has me really looking forward to winter (and this NEVER happens).
I’m also working on a short story to sub for another anthology featuring holiday themed stories featuring KINK — we all know how I love kinky tales. *evil grin*

Review: Mile 81
Mile 81 by Stephen King
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
At $5.99 for the ebook download, I really expected a novel instead of a short story. I can’t even call it a novella — it was that short.
The story was interesting and I did enjoy the read, but I have to say it was missing some of the dark sparks I expect from Mr. King. Not so much a disappointment for me, as just *meh, it was okay*
Hoping the novel due out in November has more of what I read Stephen King novels for, originality and dark twist you dont see coming.
